The World as We Know It
The year is 2060. Earth has been overcome by the effects of climate change. Governments ready their space exploration scientists and teams and start building space stations the size of states. There is a worldwide rush to reserve places to stay upon these stations. Those who are strong; those who are smart; and those with connections and material possessions get their places upon the mega-structures.
The year is 2070. Earth has plunged into chaos. Space stations are about to be launched. People are gathering their supplies. The first and last space stations to leave rattle the Earth, the people who are left behind pray for their lives as the Earth's most important systems shut down: Power, Fuel, Communities begin to fall apart as people begin to fend for themselves.
The year is 2080. More space stations have appeared due to the tireless engineering and the brave souls of those who choose to plant boots onto galactic soil for resources. The second planet in the far off Hekter system - Hekter B - is seen as a possible new inhabitable planet. The planet bears grass and water, along with the same oxygen we breathe.
Brave men and women place their boots on the ground, exploring Hekter B for the first time. Interstellar colonisation has begun. Though the lands here are inhabitable, they harbour much more dangerous environmental hazards than Earth once did.
The year is 2090. The ground on Hekter B is tough, and the buildings mankind built upon it even more so. Communities sprout, new life is birthed; and the burgeoning scientists who observe the New World's wildlife help to conserve the nature and newfound creatures that inhabit Hekter B as they push ever further to rebuild what was once lost. During this time, there is a boom in economic progress, companies and the hierarchy of monetary value prevail. Private Military Companies, Security Firms, and Experimentation Labs are set up across Hekter B.
The Year is 2095, The people of Hekter B are happy once more. Though those whose lives were lost after the Extraction of Earth are gone forever; it has given birth to a new age, one of new ways of life and exploration.
The plates of Hekter B have laid dormant for many years. Suddenly, a wave of dread befalls the planet, volcanoes along the band of Hekter B are rudely awakened. The following ash clouds cover the skies of Hekter B, plaguing the planet in darkness and a forever rain. The Pluvial Collapse (as it is now known) has begun.

The people of Hekter B were forced to retreat to the space station above, known as S-02.
The year is now 2145. Hekter B still rains to this day, though the clouds are clear. The years of ash and propagation of oxygen affect the wildlife, the product of which made quick work of any rescue teams. When the ash cleared, teams of prospectors bravely set foot upon the sunken lands of Hekter B. None of them returned. Rumours of cruel beasts and swelling storms became widespread following these disappearances.
Now, men and women who sit at the bottom rungs of society dive to the surface. They brave the storms, triumph against the cruel wildlife, face the unforgiving odds of Hekter B and rediscover what once was. They aren't soldiers, they aren't prisoners, they are Stormchasers. They are gamblers of life. Risking it all for a modicum of hope, action, or just to take back the only place they could call home.
Join the fray, Stormchaser.
